About

I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck institues in Tübingen.
I am member of the Machine Learning & Computational Biology Research group, affiliated with both the MPI for Biological Cybernetics and the MPI for Developmental Biology.
Previously, I did my PhD at the University of Cambridge with David MacKay, where I was a Cambridge Gates Scholar.
My research interests are the intersection of machine learning and computational biology. Currenlty, my main focus is in statistical genetics. I have been working on methods to correct for confounding variation in eQTL studies and the inference of interpretable cellular phenotypes.
